Tiznit Morocco

Tiznit, is one of the very ancient southren Moroccan cities, the city of Tiznit was founded back in 1881 by Sultan Hassan I, the city of Tiznit counts a population of nearly 55,000 inhabitants according to the 2005 estimate, Tiznit is very famous for its silver jewellery activity, and is one of the nice toursits destinations in the south of Morocco.

In 1881 Thhe city of Tiznit was fiunded by Sultan Moulay Hassan I, building the city walls and the main city entrance gates, the city is similar to some neighbooring moroccan cities, such as Taroudant and Marrakech, in 1912 the city was in center of El Hiba mouvment in resisting the French colonial power and unifying the Tiznit tribes against colonization, main interesting places in Tiznit are El Mechaouer Square "See Pic", and the berber market place.
